Smudge Fan Making Workshop

In Native American Tradition, Feathers are believed to hold powerful medicine for healing, protection, and divine intervention.

Sacred Creation, Living Medicine

Join us for a powerful evening of creation, ceremony, and connection as we gather in sacred space to craft our very own smudge fans — tools for energetic cleansing, prayer, and transformation.

Guided by Scott Nelson, you’ll be led through each step of this deeply intentional process — from choosing your feathers and hides, to wrapping your handle, to adorning your fan with beads and embellishments that speak to your personal spirit. Every element holds meaning and medicine. As you work, you’ll learn how these sacred tools have traditionally been used to clear energy, restore balance, and deepen your connection to Spirit and the natural world.

Scott will provide all materials — feathers, hides, beads, handles, and decorative accents — but you’re warmly encouraged to bring any feathers, beads, or a special stick you feel called to incorporate, infusing your piece with your own lineage, story, or energy.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll hold space for intention-setting, gratitude, and reflection, ensuring each fan is born with clarity and love. This is a 3-hour workshop, but please allow for extra time afterward, as this kind of creation often moves us into a timeless flow.

You’ll leave not only with a beautifully handcrafted smudge fan, but also with a deeper understanding of its energetic purpose and sacred power — a reflection of your spirit’s artistry and devotion.

Space is limited. Reserve early!
