““En mi vida fuiste turista / Tú solo viste lo mejor de mí y no lo que yo sufría / Te fuiste sin saber el porqué, el porqué de mis herida’.” - Bad bunny
Join us for a powerful and joy-filled evening of culture, connection, reflection, and celebration. Using the music and artistry of Bad Bunny as a doorway into deeper conversation, we will gather in community to explore the lasting impacts of colonialism on Puerto Rico and the importance of staying connected to culture, identity, ancestry, and collective resilience. Through guided discussion and shared reflection, we will unpack themes of resistance, pride, liberation, and belonging in a way that feels grounded, accessible, and rooted in lived experience.
From there, we shift into celebration.
Together, we’ll share authentic Puerto Rican food, sing karaoke to our favorite Bad Bunny songs, dance, laugh, and simply enjoy being in community with one another. This gathering is meant to nourish both mind and spirit — offering space to learn, connect, honor heritage, and experience joy together.
Whether you come to reflect, celebrate, connect, or simply be in the energy of community, you are welcome here. You’ll leave feeling more grounded in culture, more connected to others, and reminded of the healing power of joy, music, and collective gathering.
